With my thumb on the pulse of social media technology, I am fully able to understand the ever-changing landscape of the market to keep up to date on strategies, and new techniques that keep me on top of the latest changes to new and existing platforms.
As a business owner, what resource organizations have helped you along the way, and how?
The Women’s Business Center of Charlotte has empowered me to move forward in my entrepreneurial endeavors in so many ways; the WBCC offers me the tools and support to establish businesses, grow my network, and generate sustainable leads. With the help of the WBCC, I have been able to contribute to the growth and development of my business now and for the future.
What has been the biggest lesson learned during your entrepreneurial journey, and how have you used that to grow your business?
The biggest lesson I have learned during my entrepreneurial journey is that success and failure are on the same road; success is just further down the road. I use this lesson as a reminder that I must keep going despite the trials of entrepreneurship.
What’s the most challenging part of running a social media management company?
The biggest challenge I face with managing social media accounts are the changes in algorithms that occur very often. As a social media manager, it is my responsibility to understand the ever-changing landscape and adjust my strategy accordingly.
What moment are you most proud of throughout the years of developing your business?
Discovering what I am skilled at was my proudest moment. I was shocked to find people wanting to pay me to manage their social media accounts, which I already enjoyed doing and would even do for free Crafting creative content and sharing it to large audiences in a social space is amazing and is shaping the way we interact with brands and companies. I am proud to know I play a vital role in the social revolution within my community.
What are your favorite events to be apart of?
My favorite events to be a part of are the ones where there is an interchange of encouragement in the room. Events where I can learn from the experience and knowledge of the participants and attendees while sharing what I know gives me the motivation to never stop chasing my entrepreneurial pursuits!
